  • Online MBA - What you need to know before you get one

These days, most office professionals are either making just enough to get by or exceeding their income. Promotions and raises are going to coworkers with degrees but for many people it is not feasible to quit their jobs and go back to school. The solution: an online mba. The Top online mba offers up to a 53% increase in pay compared to a Bachelor's degree. Imagine what that means for those who are working with an Associate's degree. If you do your research, you can easily find an accredited online college or university; even some traditional colleges and universities now offer online courses.

There are many benefits associated with online learning. For one, you can shop around. Many online schools offer free student counseling and quotes for tuition costs. There are accelerated programs or programs you can complete at your own pace; you can also look into the different methods that are used in order to find a program that best suits your learning style. Pursuing your Accredited MBA online has never been easier.

One thing that makes people think twice about finishing their degree online is the fear of Internet scams and identity theft. If that is the case, one option is to choose a school that offers blended programs (some courses are completed in a classroom setting, others are completed online). For some people, just having a real person to take their tuition payments or be there for student support is enough.

The one drawback to pursuing a degree online is you need to be disciplined in order to do the work. Some programs do not have set times for classes; you do the work completely on your own. You will have to set your own schedule and meet your own deadlines. For people who work stressful jobs and just want to go home and tune out until it is time to go to bed, this option might not work. However, the long-term benefits (pay increase and job satisfaction, to name a couple) would far outweigh the present inconveniences. Why settle for just bringing home the bread when you can have the cake too?  If you are finally convinced that you need to go back to school and get your Online MBA then the next step is to figure out which one, which university, and which mba major.  Below is a list of some of the more popular mba specializations:
